Dr. Lovy is a fellowship trained hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon. He received sub-specialty training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He specializes in hand, elbow, upper extremity, and shoulder reconstruction. The fellow will have ample time to work closely with Dr. Lovy throughout the year, as he shares an office at the Levy Shoulder to Hand Center. Specifically, the fellow has the opportunity to accompany him during shoulder and elbow cases as time permits throughout the year. The fellow should notify Dr. Levy and staff of all potential educational opportunities as soon as possible. It is strongly encouraged the fellows work closely with Dr. Lovy and his schedulers to find educational experiences.
In addition, starting in the third quarter, the fellow will have the opportunity to spend an allotted time (i.e. 3 months) on Dr. Wodicka or Dr. Lovy service. During this rotation, the fellow will be expected to attend clinic and operative days. He/She will also be expected to assist Dr. Wodicka or Levy with call cases. If during this rotation Dr. Wodicka or Dr. Love have time-off, the fellow will be expected to assist Dr. Levy and colleagues. Similar to the educational experiences provided by Dr. Wodicka or Dr. Lovy, if Dr. Levy has certain cases that are beneficial to the fellow he will be expected to attend.
